Synopsis of Loca por las compras en Manhattan
If in Loca por las compras we left Becky more or less recovered from a major economic downturn, now, with the lesson well learned, she has set out to buy only what is necessary to live, and it seems that little by little she is succeeding. Suddenly, however, an unexpected trip to New York shakes his good intentions.
Becky lands in Manhattan with her boyfriend and discovers a world full of wonderful shops, super-luxury department stores and sample sales, those fantastic places where they offer designer clothes at half price.
How can we resist such a temptation? Of course, one option would be to remind the fearsome Mr Gavin, the new head of his bank, that he lacks the sensitivity necessary to understand Becky's needs; and the other, to think of the malicious front pages of English newspapers, which have apparently conspired to expose to the world the eternal liquidity problem of an innocent London girl.
