Synopsis of La vida privada
This exhibition shows a selection of works from an international contemporary art collection, based on a discourse that articulates the tragic and the banal from the perspective of a duality and a "duel" between opposites, which, however, complement each other and become a common feature of the acquisitions made by the collector. The title "La vida privada" refers to the private life of objects, in which a certain artistic production is made sensitive, but also to the life and events with which they are associated. And, reciprocally, to the interior experience of the collector himself, who is the one who has made the first selection of the works that make up this collection, where the elective affinities constitute the reason for a choice and a commitment. Collecting refers, in this case, to a private and individual action, but at the same time it means establishing a relational system between objects and things from the very subject that executes it.
