Synopsis of Ángel del infierno
The recent and successful television series Sons of Anarchy – based in part on the club’s history, and in which Sonny himself makes some cameo – has given more visibility to the motorcycle club, and has revived interest in learning about the intrahistory of one of the most prominent subcultures to emerge in the mid-twentieth century. At Pepitas we thought there was no one better than the founder of the Hell’s Angels to tell us the story of the group. In his voice, the story of what happened at the Altamont festival, while the Rolling Stones were performing, takes on a new dimension.
The abundant photographs, many from private collections or prestigious photographers, enrich this extraordinary narrative. It is not a story about motorcycles, bizarre characters, and full-blown emotions, but the true story of a man who talks about loyalty, betrayal, subcultures, brotherhood; of a rebel who knows the true price of freedom.
